What is it that makes your blog theme a success? Is it the links? Is it the ad locations? What about the information boxes that never change? What about the other links and suggestions in the side bar of your site?
Blogs can be impervious to change, or they can be changed on a whim, the choice is yours. You choose the layout, the design and the theme you’ll use on your blog. Once you’ve made that choice, what you do with the layout is even more important. Will you maximize the income streams made optional on your blog?
At first, I didn’t see the purpose for including ad banners, cubes, or monetized links on the sides of my blog, but now I find they’re as necessary as updating the promotional infomation in my blog frequently. Adding new posts at least once a week is important.
People like to see new stuff. So, new ads on the side bars are as important as writing new posts. Blogging my way to the bank means new stuff almost daily, and it works. I rarely open the mail that I don’t have a check or deposit from someone. The benefits? Well, they’re adding up quickly.
So, what drives your successful blog theme?
I see opportunity and individualism as a main target for my own theme. I started at one point to change it, make it more “commercial” then I realized, people come here to see what I write, not what someone else considers professional. And I like my blue patterned blog theme. It’s classic and it’s me.
Tell me about yours.
