Ziglar’s Fired Up Speech – I get it!

Filed Under (Business Plan, Marketing, Ten Steps, make money online, make your first million) by admin on 20-08-2010

I grew up listening to Zig Ziglar during my waking hours. If mom didn’t put his tapes on and play them I did. I loved listening to Ziglar talk about his “red head” and grew to love red hair from his talks. To this day, I love the brassy red haired ladies who remind me of Ziglar’s message to the masses. “You can do it!” comes across to me as a message meant for today’s world.

When a friend asked me a few days back, “What gets you all fired up?” I didn’t have to think long, I answered, “Ziglar’s Bull Frog Speech.” I heard it when I was a child and I’ve given it more times than I can count on many different fields of interest, one of the most prominent being politics. I believe as a nation, we’re sitting bullfrogs in hot water. We’ve become complacent and the water’s getting hotter.

In the business world, we got cozy and comfortable with our profits and they’re running out. Now, we’re looking back with our cooked body parts wondering how we can escape the coming drain on income, and seeing no way out.

Cooked frog legs don’t jump.

There’s an alternative. We can get out of the water before we’re cooked…

  • Get a vision for your life. Go beyond the cozy comfort of the hot water you’re soaking in and create a viable vision for your life that means you have to hop higher, move faster, and keep on building a greater profit into your business than you’ve ever had before. Move before you can’t see beyond the edge of the pot.
  • Find Mentors who will LEAD you. You want a mentor who is just beyond your grasp, who will occasionally stick his foot up your rump and move you into action. Don’t accept a complacent mentor who isn’t going anywhere – you’ve gotta move to get where you want to go.
  • Understand the value of Humility. You’re not God. You’re not like God. You’re not a PART of God. And you’re not LIKE God. Get over yourself enough to understand that you’re God’s chosen and you can have what you want, but you’re not getting it because you’re so all fired hot and wonderful, you’re getting it out of the grace of God’s loving heart. So let the hot air out and come back down to earth, you’re no better than the slug on the street, you just work harder. Humility has purpose in your life – use it.
  • Gratitude will take you where you want to go. How many times have you said, “Thank you!” Do it a million times more, every day. Find ways to be grateful every day. Seek them out and act on them, tell people how much you appreciate them, show your gratitude and display your willingness to show favor in appreciation of the goodness of others. Give more than you get and you’ll get even more.
  • Determination will take you further than complacency. Remember the Bull frog? You put him in a nice pan of cold water and you set the water on the heat. He’s cozy, his body temperature is adjusting to the heat and he likes the water. As the water starts to boil, the bullfrog starts to cook, and there he sets, cooked in his own comfort. He’s done. Determine to get yourself out of hot water before you become cooked in your own comfort.

So, do you get it yet? Have you figured out that whatever it is you want in this life, you can accomplish your dreams?

Remember these ten little two letter words and you’ll grow faster, gain more, and get further than with any other quote you’ll ever read.

“If it is to be; it is up to me.”

Where’s your red head and how hot is the water?

Social Media Master — Network Specialists

Learning to navigate the social medias? When the boom started on the Internet, more than eighteen years ago, having a website meant you were cool. Then along came blogging, it required some input from you on a regular basis, but most everyone who was really cool did that too.

Now Twitter and Facebook, at the very least, are required to be a cool presenter online.

When my kids started talking about facebook, I didn’t hop right on. But I did stay tuned in to what they were saying about it. When they started complaining because adults were intruding on their territory, I checked in too. Yup, adults were definitely intruders at that point. Kids had been using the site primarily to connect with school chums. I realized I could connect with school chums too. I infiltrated the site as well.

Now, I have more contacts than my kids have on facebook, and many of them are marketing/business related. I have several basis for contact, writers, business associates, probable clients, and friends/buddies and old class mates (some of them look a lot older than others). The best part is, when I send out a message, everyone gets it. I become a real person, with a real identity and my customers appreciate that.

Friends and family have some basic concept of what I do, and I get referrals there too.

Learning to tweet 140 characters and bring in a phone call from a new client makes the world a happy place, I can’t think of a better way to promote yourself.

How to Make a Million Dollars

In searching for clues today, I came across Seth Godin’s solution for making a million dollars at How to… and thought I’d consider it for a moment. There’re several ways to accomplish the task as he set the guidelines. You could sell $10 to 100K people or you could sell $100 to 10K people. Either way, you’re making a million, but selling what?

According to Kiplinger, you have to Save It. But once again, you’d have to save a lot of money to get to a million, and it costs a lot of money to live. Can you save it if you’re putting it in the gas tank or refrigerator? Hello! Read the rest of this entry »

Eliminate Hard Work & Make a Million Online

Filed Under (Blogging, Marketing, make money online, make your first million) by admin on 04-11-2008

Are you sick of the hype? The reality is you can and probably will make a million online. I’m not going to lie to you, it probably won’t be today.

Everyone wants the instant profits, but in reality, they don’t happen instantly, it takes a while. Life isn’t an instant process, and everyone is in on the game. Those words may sound a bit cliche, but they are true. The concept of creating easy cash, instantly comes about from lottery winnings. People pay a buck for a chance. It’s easy money, nobody really gets hurt, and everybody does it… or not.

But making money online is different. You sell “stuff” and get paid to do it. Most of us call it affiliate marketing – in one form or another – the products don’t matter much,  you can sell anything. What truly matters is that you try them, like them, and promote them because they work. People trust you and you make money – yeah – online.

Simple Cash Generating Systems can work for anybody. Consider for a moment Dave Gale’s Automated Cash Formula. This killer concept talks about eliminating the hard work he used to do as a window washer and tuning in to making big profits online. Can he do it? Of course he can. I do. If I can do it, he can do it, and  you can do it too. So what’s stopping you from getting onboard and making your first million online?

Did you drop out of school at 15? What about that? Dave Gale dropped out at 15 too, with no qualifications and couldn’t get a job so he started washing windows for money. It worked. He made some bucks, but it’s hard to make much money washing windows. There’s a better way!

You could stop messing around with the peasely little tidbits and crumbs big business is sending your way and build your business online too. It would make you money, and with a little effort, you’d be making some massive money online. The process works, you just need to find one, use it and sit back while the money rolls in.

Make A Million Online – #1 on Google

Make First Million Online

Make First Million Online

Keyword Optimization works on Google. I’ve landed this site on the #1 slot on the front page of Google now for quite a while. Achieving the #1 slot isn’t nearly as difficult as some would have you think it is. Making your keywords work and reflect your website means branding your market with keyword specific phrases that carry impact and drive traffic. The most effective means of branding your market is to use your signature line frequently throughout your website.

By using your signature name (in my case, Jan Verhoeff) in your work, as a reference point, as a signature, or as a part of your tagline, you create a bold statement that drives your website to the top of the search engine for that phrase. The same happens with your tagline, when you use it relentlessly and add it to the tags on your website or blog.

Make a Million Online brings repeated searches to this website because everyone wants to make a million online, so they search that phrase. In more than 19 Million searches, this website comes up number one for that keyword phrase. That’s an active response to multiple marketing techniques and strategies designed to create a powerful statement with specific words.

You can drive traffic with a top of the search engine placement for popular keyword phrases. The idea works. The results are credible and repeatable. You can duplicate the process using your own keyword phrases and get mega results that people appreciate and learn from.

I learned about keyword optimization when I was teaching my sons how to maximize their own websites using the keyword phrase “Coolest Woman on the Planet” (yes, of course, it’s their mom) when the phrase hit the first page of Google in less than seven days. I was impressed, the boys were double impressed, and I’ve been the coolest mom in their world ever since. I’m not telling you what the next phrase they optimized is, but I will tell you after one positive experience, it didn’t take them seven days to optimize that one.

Tell me what you’d like to optimize and I’ll help you make the #1 slot too.

Blog Theme Success

Filed Under (Blogging, Marketing, make money online, make your first million) by admin on 02-11-2008

What is it that makes your blog theme a success? Is it the links? Is it the ad locations? What about the information boxes that never change? What about the other links and suggestions in the side bar of your site?

Blogs can be impervious to change, or they can be changed on a whim, the choice is yours. You choose the layout, the design and the theme you’ll use on your blog. Once you’ve made that choice, what you do with the layout is even more important. Will you maximize the income streams made optional on your blog?

At first, I didn’t see the purpose for including ad banners, cubes, or monetized links on the sides of my blog, but now I find they’re as necessary as updating the promotional infomation in my blog frequently. Adding new posts at least once a week is important.

People like to see new stuff. So, new ads on the side bars are as important as writing new posts. Blogging my way to the bank means new stuff almost daily, and it works. I rarely open the mail that I don’t have a check or deposit from someone. The benefits? Well, they’re adding up quickly.

So, what drives your successful blog theme?

I see opportunity and individualism as a main target for my own theme. I started at one point to change it, make it more “commercial” then I realized, people come here to see what I write, not what someone else considers professional. And I like my blue patterned blog theme. It’s classic and it’s me.

Tell me about yours.

Recession Fighting Tools

“You’re probably worrying about the recession like everyone else, but you don’t have to worry. You could actually do something about it.”

When a friend told me that, I was still thinking in terms of building my business. I hadn’t given much thought to a Recession. I vaguely remember surviving a few of them in the past, and while life hangs in the balance as the stock market takes a hit, we all seem to go about our business with smiles and listen to the grumbles of the big time investors, but little else. Investors take it in the pants, but those of us who just continue business as usual, pretty much survive the rush with a few bruises, a late payment or two, and our money still coming in regularly.

Well, at least those of us who are genuinely aware of a recession going on…

The rest of the world sits back and enjoys a few less cappuccinos at StarBucks and worries about how they’ll pay for their next vacation.

So, which category do you fit into on that Recession Scale?

Having been at one point or another in all three categories, I’ve got a bit of advice I want to give you.

1. Get out of debt.
2. Save some cash – but don’t necessarily invest it in stocks, unless you can afford to lose it.
3. Never invest in what you don’t understand.
4. Don’t lose focus.
5. Build your business, don’t drop out of the race.
6. Don’t stop living, just live better.
7. Listen to someone who’s been there, and get good advice.

These are the easiest and best tools you can have for surviving a Recession. If you’re an online business promoter, you’ll want even more advice for maintaining and building your business to higher profits during a recession. Get a copy of my Recession Proof Your business Report today!
